Moetefindt historic car trailers
Quality Made in Germany
We are professionals who specialise in developing, designing and building individual trailers for transporting historic cars. We produce all our trailers in our factory in Buchholz, near Hamburg, Germany. A product manager ensures that every one of your requirements is fully factored in and put into practice, and our sales department works closely with you to make sure you get exactly the trailer you want. Thanks to our lightweight aluminium construction, we achieve payloads of up to 2,500 kg. Many customers in this field prefer to use a rigid FTK box body to transport their valuable vehicles, as it is not just a means of transport, but also a “garage on wheels”.

Enclosed, especially lightweight vehicle transporters with a fixed covered body. The very low loading angle thanks to the Moetefindt air suspension with an integrated tilt mechanism, and the rigid aluminium tailgate ramp with a chequer-plate pattern on the tracks make it easier to load and unload vehicles with a low ground clearance. FTP 228–235 are specially developed for racing historic vehicles.

Patented air suspension for a smooth ride
Our trailers absorb vibrations and shocks, protecting your vehicle from damage. Our specially developed, unique air suspension, of a kind you will find nowhere else, gives you a smooth ride. It distributes the load evenly over the axles, considerably extending the lifetime of your historic car trailer. And, best of all, the pressure in the air suspension only needs to be checked once or twice a year. No further maintenance is required.
How you benefit:
- Optimally protected against vibrations and shocks
- Extremely comfortable, stable ride
- A longer service life than trailers with conventional suspension systems
Easy to operate: loaded in just two minutes
Our historic car trailers not only provide great ride quality; they are also very easy to operate. A single person needs no more than two minutes to load the trailer. That user friendliness is part of the Moetefindt concept , focusing not only on individuality and safety, but also on the best possible efficiency when using the trailers.
Improved aerodynamics thanks to the slanted front nose, cutting your fuel consumption.
The historic car trailers are also efficient to use on the street, as the transporters are built to be aerodynamic. The slanted front nose can even make considerable fuel savings, keeping your fuel consumption within reasonable limits. As well as the basic trailer version, we can also deliver a version with a 30° or 45° angle.
Historic car trailers with plenty of stowage space
When you are travelling with your trailer, you need enough space to carry wheels, tools and other small items. For that reason, we fit storage trays into our trailers on request. These allow you to store the wheels between the side tracks, keeping the centre of gravity of that additional weight very low. They also mean you don’t lose any of the storage space in the trailer itself.
By the way, if you ever need to transport a motorcycle, we also offer covers. Interested in our historic car trailers? We will be happy to provide advice free of charge; no purchase required. Simply get in touch with us now!
